This is an old thread, and should probably be deleted. It goes back to when I ordered my RHD car ('10), which has been finished for a year, and on the road.
I have ordered parts for the W11, and have been told that there will be more parts if they are needed.
Also, if there are enough orders, they will make more. At the moment, there is more interest in the car in the US, where it can be licensed, (but not vintage raced), then there is in Europe, with a majority of the last production run going here.

Westfield needs cash flow like any other company, and the cost of producing the W11 is not any higher than other cars that they make. Westfield contracted out the construction of the kits back in '09, and then went to a batch build process. When they have the numbers, they will crank out a few more.

Rather than panic and wonder about parts, it is pretty easy to contact Gavin at Westfield's parts department, and ask for accurate information.

As for the "exceptional standard" of the bodywork, well... Maybe not so much. There is a mold ridge on the rear wings, a flat spot on the scuttle . Lots of little things that I didn't bother to take care of because I didn't feel like having to refinish the entire body, as perhaps the factory did for their display car. The fit is OK, but when you put the headlights into the new front end, it folds across the grill opening from the weight... A gusset had to be laminated in to keep the bonnet brackets attached, the nose erect, and the hood fit exceptional.

Thanks Bob.That's a pretty nice discount.

Agree that this is an old thread and that the original thrust is no longer worrisome. However, there's some interesting thread drift. MAybe it could be split off into a separate thread, or something?

The fact is that there are more Westfield Elevens. Not much drift that I can see. Evidently, we have full support, so having the thread might actually keep somebody from buying a W11, which is not really what the thread is about. The drift is that the car is actually available, and can be ordered.

It should go, and someone should start a thread about ordering a new W11. That last entry about the order would be a good place to start.

For me the interesting thread drift is that a single cockpit conversion is available (I didn't know that!) and that WSC are able to offer an occasional 15% discount.

What would be great to entice new owners would be some build threads. There are some cars being put together at the moment.
