Hi Jon, have made a start on the front suspension and finished the steering rack mods today. I need to take a trip to my local MG spares shop tomorrow as I test fitted my new uprights today and tried the new castle nut but for some reason it didn't fit (seems to be incorrect thread) thought I must be going mad so grabbed the old one from my old uprights and that didn't fit either. The only thing I can think is for some reason the new uprights have a different thread pitch but who knows!!!! :P :P :P

Do you have a tap and die set? Nothing beats a thread pitch gauge to solve these simple problems.

Taps and dies are really useful during your build, especially when dealing with the donor car parts.

Sometimes, all you need to do is chase the threads with a die, provided you still have the correct pitch.
