I could be wrong, but I don't think you can fit those liners easily to that block. If it were the FWB block casting (integral oil filter boss casting, lumps in the block to clear the longer throw crank), then its possible to fit them. But, it still requires a fair amount of money thrown at it. If you want to run anything above 6k rpm you need to find a steel crank, and fit the FWB or forged con rods, the head will require work to make decent power, the oil pump will need changing out for an FWA/B/E pump or fit the taller gears and fabricate a spacer (required for any street/race engine), the fibre timing gear for the jackshaft will need swapping for a steel one, source a suitable distributor, obtain an intake manifold and carbs, the list goes on and on.
an alternative Climax engine already adapted to automotive use is the 875cc Hillman Imp engine. Has anybody ever explored that? It might lack BHP but it revs like crazy, so you would still get your max speed with correct gearing (and long enough straight)
