Re: Classic Le Mans 2016
So we need to form a real club not had any experience of any thing like this but it's never going to be a big club is it so should be straight forward in am willing to put some effort in here - I think I would trailer car down to ferry area and hope someone can help with a safe place for trailer and tow car , how many on this would be interesting in setting up a 'club' so we know what sort of logistics needed

Re: Classic Le Mans 2016

The club thing is a way to get a car that is not on the ACO list on the track. If replicas are allowed, then we just send in details and park in the appropriate (and very select) area and Bob's your uncle.

Some info linked in the page above.
Any pre-66 car and those in the hand-picked list in the doc here:

ACO might grant permission for Eleven replicas given the nature of the event in 2016. Much better to officialise it than :hit and hope"!

Or just join the TSSC, enjoy their very social company, facilities and book track laps through them.

WHOA!! Hang on!!
I have just checked that select list - it appears to have been amended since I last looked...
"WESFIELD tous modeles/all models" (their spelling) is now included.
Job done!

Re: Classic Le Mans 2016
Just looking through that second form, I notice that with a couple of months to run, the Tribunes (grandstands to the civilised world) are all full, as are the parade laps. This event is becoming almost as popular as the real thing. If we're going to do 2016, then we really must commit early if we want prime spots (camping, grandstands (it rains a lot!), laps etc.). I'm a lazy arse. Who wants to take the lead and play mother when it comes to organisation?

I don't mind giving time and helping Jon you seem extremely well up on this so what ever is required to get things started I am also married to a woman who loves all this organising so with a little guidance lets start early and see how many we can get to this and more things we can get at the event- access good camping etc the more will come

A long way off, but should my car still be road legal and halfway driveable I'd like to make the effort.
If it's not I'll happily bring the Land Rover as service barge instead. Could even bring an empty trailer too, just in case...
