Re: Stoneleigh 2014?
did anyone at stoneleigh see this:
http://www.stuart-taylor.co.uk/cars/st-mx11/
It was apparently on one of the KC magazine stands. I missed it completely, certainly competition for Westfield- (it looks like the WXI body), and with the lack of suitable donors the MX5 might just work.
Cant find any further info on it.

Re: Stoneleigh 2014?
link doesn't work BUT...
The car started life as a westfield XI kit, purchased a couple of years ago. The intention was for Ken Culverwell (who part financed the project) to race it with the SRGTC although certain areas aren't to the regulations.
I believe all the running gear has been utilised from the donor. The chassis has been butchered, as has the bonnet - to widen the car slightly. They decided to put pushrod suspension on the front - no one really understands why and when I last spoke to Ian Gray (owner of Stuart Taylor Motorsport) he said he wished he hadn't bothered as it wasn't working properly.
It'll be interesting to see what Westfield make of it if he is pushing to sell it as one of his kits using their chassis - unless of course he has remade the entire chassis

There are other photos of the car undressed which are on the SRGTC forum - unfortunately you need to be a member to view them. Ill try and copy them across here later.

Re: Stoneleigh 2014?
At a rare loose-end this afternoon, so strolled into town. WHS has the current issue of TKC magazine. Save yourselves a fiver, unless you like infomercials and photographs of truly awful "cars". However, it did enable me to track down this:
http://www.stuart-taylor.co.uk/gallery/st-mx11/
Seems that it'll only be available as a rolling chassis or a turn-key car. Also, looks to have been developed as a track car. I guess that you'll be on your own if you wish to try for IVA.
Besides, from the side, it's stance looks all wrong to me. Too high and too flat.
The F1-67 costs £57,600 and production has reached double figures. I really quite like it!

Didnt see the detail shots earlier, clearly chassis is still W11 derived, Westfield should be very pissed with this. Not very impressive in my opinion.
