You will be in for a slight surprise when you find that the bonnet doesn't fit well with the lights installed.
Also, you will have to be careful that the tires don't knock off the headlight sockets. This is not a problem in most of the cars, if you have side exit sockets.
You may have to space the buckets or head light adjust rings forward a little on washers or spacers.
The problem with the bonnet fit is that the bonnet is flexible around the hinge plates, and will collapse with the weight of the lights.
I had to fit a gusset between the brackets and the body to make sure that the bonnet held its shape and closed as intended, with all the fasteners lining up.
There is a picture of this in my albums, using a fiberglass board cut to fit. I don't recommend using that material. Too heavy and hard to work with (it eats band saw blades).
You can use carbon/composite/glass/foam core material from the hard core race parts suppliers, cut to the contour of the unloaded bonnet, inside at the brackets. 'Glass it in place. Start with a cardboard cut out and shape your piece of foam core.
I would do this prior to fitting the lights, or remove them first.

Re: My 11 build
When I bought my car from Tony Lincoln (sadly now no longer with us), the bonnet and rear clam needed some work to fit correctly. Gary Gunn glassed in heavy duty formers, and this fixed the problem perfectly. Post+IVA, you can fit Terry springs and a Cam Lok fastener to each. Never had a problem at any speed the car is capable of...
I can post a pic if anyone would like to see one.
Cheers!
PS Car taxed. I am on a few days off. It’s raining heavily. Bah!

HEADLIGHT RIMS
The fitment of a rim to the headlights under the perspex covers is a simple job using the perspex cover to hold it in place at the top and a simple 90 degree bracket
pushed against the rim at the bottom and held by a single screw / nut through the curve of the lamp recess . This removes the " Unfinished " look if the outer
circumference of the light unit and the adjusters etc. are left exposed . There is already a thread posted on this topic .

Here is a link to the gusset installation. This will ensure proper bonnet fit (even if you have the Dzus fasteners) after the headlights are installed.

Thanks Jan, I'll get the jig saw out. I think i'll use marine plywood for that job.
