Oil pressure looks good mine dropped as the oil got hot so I ended up fitting a cooler.

Switches are fine for the IVA as they're in the exemption area A (127mm beyond edge of steering wheel) and B RHS steering wheel

and I agree, the headlight pods are definitely ugly.

Oil pressure does drop as the engine warms, but it should be no more, nor less than about 60psi (Check Vizard's book to verify) in cruise. This may require re setting the tension on the relief valve. I also install an oil cooler, as I often do long drives at higher speeds, usually around 35~3700 RPM (80 mph or so). The oil cooler keeps the temps to a safe level, both oil and coolant.

As an added bonus, if you run your oil cooler lines from the main pressure line in the block, and the return from the oil filter housing, you eliminate the external oil pipe, which really cleans up the side of the engine, and simplifies timing adjustments as there is plenty of room for your wrench.

I use -8 push on hose (-10 is good as well), as the softer push on hoses are easier to fabricate, are less expensive, have a better bending radius. I have moved away from the braided lines as they don't seem to last any longer, and I am tired of puncture wounds...

Did I say just how ugly the pods are...... I've just bolted them on knowing they will be coming off as soon as possible after the IVA test.

I'm at the end of electrical fixes, all the electrics are working as designed. I did have lots of fun chasing an problem with the indicators which would not flash and would blow a fuse if I tried the hazards. The problems was caused because I had changed the flasher unit for an LED unit which doesn't use the earth which is in the plug, replaced it with the original, sorted. The second problem was most confusing... the reversing light would not light when I put the gearbox into reverse. I chased the connections all the way back to the gearbox switch and it appeared not to be working. So rather than take the engine and box out again, I made a hole in the tunnel to enable me to remove and check. Once out I was able to push the switch manually and lo and behold its worked, turns out I needed to remove the washer from the switch so it would screw in a little further and it worked, sorted again.

I changed the carpets slightly in my last build.
The top of the tunnel cover carpet was separated from the tunnel carpet and attached with snaps. This made it easier to remove the top carpet and the transmission cover for service rather than having to remove the entire tunnel portion of the carpet that may have been glued in place.

I also cut a hole for the transmission filler plug so that the level could be easily checked without removing the carpet.

Well if I can't have a " Real One " the Westfield more than fits the bill .

Are you going to align it next?

If so, you need to put your weight in the driver's seat to set the ride height, camber and toe-in. Make sure that you have settled the suspension.

Landmark happening today..... put some fuel in the tank, checked for leaks and thought go on turn the key and its started, I have a video of it but can't load to the site.

Sounded good and had a strong tickover.
