My last one was polished that way inside, until I drove it in the sun... It received an interior the next day. It sure looks impressive, though.

My new interior will have proper upholstery to cut the glare. Those polished end plates on the dash will put the sun right in your eyes, especially when it is at your back... Glass beading them will help a lot. Been there, done that... Good looking car, though.

Trying to run a high performance fuel injection system with the 5 port head is always problematic. The system in that car worked better than any of the others I have tried, but the performance was never to the level of my carbureted cars, when compared side by side. While the short blocks and cams were identical, the cylinder heads (a small port APT with fuel injection Vs large port Longman heads with identically prepped Webers on 6" manifold intakes) were different. So were the compression ratios, with my pair at 10.9:1 and 10.7:1. Both were marginally higher than the fuel injected engine.

The problem is that the "motorcycle" throttle body is simply too large (nearly as large as the one on my A Sedan racing Mustang with the 5 liter V8), and needs to be necked down, perhaps with a second venturi between the throttle body and the intake manifold. The system just looses too much velocity when snapped open all at once.

The design of the throttle body is actually quite good, with two staged injectors and the ability to compensate for the reversion between the paired intake ports. The trick is to keep the air moving when the throttle is snapped open.

Having said all that, the engine did run well, with a nice idle even with the relatively high lift, long duration cam. Torque delivery was pretty impressive as well. Not bad for just about no development.

Hmm, Perhaps a supercharger and a Cometic head gasket would fix the problem. That should be just the setup to take advantage of that throttle body.

Did you wrap the bodywork? Polished or brushed wrap?

The body is a paint job...not a wrap.

Rather than blow all that money on a new interior, buy a pair of Ray-Ban Sunglasses. They're cheap. They will address your perceived problem with glare, which for some reason, I don't have in the Texas sun. And, you will gain the added benefit of looking cooler...and so will your car.

I polished the alloy body panels, so everyone else has to wear sunglasses.

The W11 doesn't need a house of mirrors in the interior to be cool. Any W11 will always be the coolest car, wherever it shows up.
