The build is going well, I have the high beam switch on the outside as it's easier to find in the dark, as suggestion from a Simon Marks a change he made after the build. Also worth checking where the dash sits with the switches in, a couple of 2016/17 kits had the top rolled too much so need to be adjusted to make sure the steering column lined up. I also had to roll up the bottom edge by the key as it was stopping the starter switch being engaged.

Happy New Year, all.

I would also suggest that you have a look at the fitted dash as soon as you can with the seat and steering wheel in place. When I built mine, I could not see the oil pressure gauge (the top semi-circle of the combined gauge with the water temperature) as it was obscured by the projection of the scuttle. If you are similarly affected, I would suggest transposing this instrument with the fuel gauge (which has no top dial to worry about).

Good to see continuing progress.

Simon, suggestion taken and gauges exchanged places.

Image of the mock-up of rear lights and number plate holder. I just need to add the reversing and rear fog lights.

Hi, Again,

You'll need to transpose the indicators and stop / tail lamps to give you a chance of achieving 100mm separation between the fog and tail lights. I only just managed this and the IVA tester was like a Western sharp shooter as he whipped out his ruler to check my installation!

Placing the reverse / fog lamps vertically will give you a greater clearance - but watch for shrouding the indicators from angled view.

And here's the modified mounting after taking Simon's advice.

Just need to connect all the wiring connections now.

Just wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram I could use? I am using the Westfield supplied loom.

Thanks

Hi,

If you would like to pm me an e-mail address, I can let you have the diagrams that I got from Westfield when I built mine.
