No bids yet. Worth a punt?

I'd really like to run a tape measure over it first though.
Right shape and configuration. Ditch the Triumph gearbox and graft on an MX5 unit (or Ford). Next best thing to a Lotus 907 engine.

If you think it will fit, why not?
The highest bits appear to be the SU's on one side and part of the plumbing (thermostat housing?) on the other, both of which might present some wiggle room. Mind you what's it weight, is it all iron?
If its 130 on twin SU's then might you gain anything on twin weber side draught 45s - they might be lower as well.
Couple of bids on it now.

Charles, I'd be very happy to take your nicely-fettled A-series off your hands should you decide to replace it with a Triumph Dolly engine.......

When you put it like that...
There is a bit more to come from the old A Series yet. But fun to consider alternatives.
