They might be too tall since the series 2 has a lower floor. I have an unused set from 2006 and they measure approx. 22" from bottom to the highest point on the backrest. This is w/o any bracketry for mounting, just a bare seat. I found the buckets to be too narrow for more than a few moments comfort and simply upholstered the cockpit like the original 11's.

The early cars have flat floors. Some of them came with the bucket seats, which were simply bolted to the floor. My car may have had buckets. as the floor has a number of holes in it in a square pattern that are unnecessary for the plinths and squabs of the standard 'club" interior.
Another interesting difference is that the early cars have a windshield that is 3" taller than the later, dropped floor car.
If you are interested in changing to bucket seats, you need to test fit them to the car. Shorter drivers may not have any problem at all with them.

How much deeper is the floor on the newer ones, does anyone have some photos of both, taken from above and underneath?

The floor on the late car is steel, welded in place, with each seating space dropped two inches at the rear bulkhead. It's a pie wedge, welded in, starting at the frame cross member in front of the seat, dropping two inches at the rear bulkhead. One wedge on each side. This matches to a shorter windscreen.
The early cars have a flat, alloy floor, and a taller windscreen.
