I agree, how could anyone spend so much time and money getting the mechanicals right and then just whack a big hole in the hood/bonnet. What really pains me is that it's the same color as mine

That roll hoop????? Perhaps they could have made it a bit thicker....

On the other one, I do quite like that duck egg blue, and my car is in paint shop at the moment.......

nah that roll hoop is fine, and least of the worries- its a normal diameter hoop covered in padding, its the fact an elan was buchered to make this! The guy obviously has some engineering talent so why end up with something that looks like this? I would be absolutely fine with it if it was not refered to as an 11- it looks like it has a butchered 15 front end on it at the very least.

Mmm also like the duck egg blue. After IVA mine might appear in a similar colour....
