Anyone interested in poulating the WIKI pages? There's a load of great stuff already here and on the XI list that could be copied across...

excuse me, but what is exactly the question? I don't understand the word "poulating".

Nice one! I think we need to come up with some defintions of that new word Jon.
How about the way that oil leaks gather on whatever they are leaking from before dripping as an on topic starter?
No idea what creating or adding to a Wiki involves, but I'll be game to contribute. Surely we need Chris Smith's input?

The WIKI was created about a year ago - and doesn't have anything in it

Waiting for helpful W11 hints n tips, and new words to populate it.
See this thread(!)

Everyone's input (especially Chris's) most welcome. Its a DIY system, anyone can edit and enter data. It can lead to abuse, but most WIKI's appear to work well.
If this particular WIKI type proves unfriendly to use, let me know and I'll look for another.

Go on...who'se going to go first?
I'm not sure I have anything revolutionary to put in there, apart from how to muck up replacing a head gasket and thus fill the sump with coolant

And I thought that's how one was supposed to fill the cooling system with oil...

There's no need to worry about the mechanics of the WIKI, because content can be copied in easily.
Like building websites, or writing an article, you need a structure to begin with.
How about sections on:
What is it?
Lotus history
How the Westfield Sports came about.
Westfield XI kit production.
and then into Technical. I use work manuals that cover a huge subject range - from technical to operational. On the tech side, these are organised into standard chapters which can cross-refer between volumes. Mr Haynes has already done this work for us - laid out sections and sub-sections. For instance, the ENGINE section could cover a bit of general info, servicing, engine options, etc In effect, the most difficult part of starting the WIKI is done. Just the small task of filling in the blanks remains!!

The great thing about an electronic document is the ability to embed internal and external links. The front page of the WIKI could be little more than general info and a contents list.
Apart from purely technical, other sections could include: Driving, tuning, glass-fibre work, Acrylic repair etc.
How does this sound?

Sounds like a good start, so I have created those as links on the first page.
Please delete, move, rename, edit, or even fill with information - that's what WIKI's are for...
(Click on the '?' at the end of each to goto the new page)
