Anyone going to Stoneleigh this year?
I'll try to go both days but likely to be more time on Sunday and may well have the father-outlaw in tow.... :o

Yes dodgy gearbox permitting, im planning on being there on the sunday in the almost finished 'eleven'. Given im not in a westfield, i shall find somewhere else to park up, if any eleven owners are there on sunday, i will wander over to chat.

Yep, I'm hoping to go weather permitting.

Oh yes and provided the car is back on the road too! Just need a new carb needle and MOT, then the car is ready for the usual 150 mile round trip shakedown test :o

Why is it every year I'm just putting the car back on the road after major modifications ready to test them on the run to Stoneleigh! That and the MOT that expires at the beginning of May are a real pain.

This year everything was going to plan and I would have been on the road last week, except the new carb needle didn't arrive (and still hasn't).

Ben, what happened to your gearbox?

The wretched thing pops out of 4th with annoying regularity when coming off the throttle, should never have trusted an ebay special without properly stripping down first! Looking for another that i can buy and get rebuilt properly, then swap over.

Woo hoo, MOT passed.

Bit of a worry about the fuelling as it was running a "bit" rich, just enough that you couldn't see the car through the cloud of black smoke! But a tweek of the fuel pressure fixed that.

Hope to do a shakedown run to work this week ready for Sunday (weather looks better at the moment but will probably change).

So you are now supercharged? How is it feeling? Or are you taking it very easy at first?

Yes, supercharger is in. Some tweaking still required but feels good when the boost starts to build, not sure if it's much faster yet but we'll see when I finish tweaking.

Are you planning to head to Stoneleigh (is anyone else?) fancy a convoy?
