When at Race Retro purchased a PowerLite starter motor from Eurolec Components to suit the " A " Series . It has always been reluctant to crank when stone cold even with a " Rebuilt " starter motor and all connections made good . Twenty minutes to fit still using the bulkhead solenoid . Result , instant almost silent start up , no " thrashing and mashing " of the bendix , into mesh turn the engine and it ran .
Not particularly cheap but it " Sounds " a better job . Well suited ! ! !

Yup! Particularly effective with engines in a higher state of tune and it all sounds so much less harmful.
