Ok, we have self centring steering after the suspension setting session.

All electrics working after I sorted a poor earth.

The retest is due 6th Sept so I will have a go at building ducting for the rad, it get hot as it is.

This is my solution followed by removing the Westfield fan bracket and mounting the fan directly on to the radiator. Last mod was to add an oil cooler and I now have no cooling or oil pressure issues even on very hot days at Le Mans last year.

Good move to get rid of the Westfield shroud (it blocks most of the radiator). That, along with attaching the fan to the backside of the radiator and run it as a "puller", you will drop a quick 20+F in temperature.

This is our standard setup in Southern California. The oil cooler also helps.

I didn't fit the shroud during the build after reading comments about the problems it caused. The fan is mounted directly on the rad, but I think the cure is to build the ducting around the rad. I will leave the fitting of that until after the IVA is complete.

One of the points you mentioned following your IVA test what that there was a fluid leak at the Tee piece on the rear axle.

Was this by any chance on the branch that the flexi hose screws into?

On mine, the flexi is supplied with a copper washer that appears to by surplus to requirement, given that the hose thread bottoms out at the base of the tee piece thread before the shoulder even comes into contact with the washer...

What did you do for your build and how did you stop the leak?

I have a similar issue with the brake light switch that screws into the tee piece at the front of the car. The 'Build Guide' suggests using (PTFE) gasket tape on the thread. WSC say the tape is not required and they don't use it. The kit is supplied with an extra copper washer, but again the brake light switch bottoms out well before contact with the washer is made...

Any thoughts or comments most welcome.

Many thanks.

Morris.

Hello Morris, the problem I had with the tee piece was I hadn't tighten the nipples tight enough, so stop leaked after applying more force than I wanted the first time.

I did use the copper washers on my build, but I think the problem you have is due to the wrong tee piece, the legs of the tee come in two lengths and i think you may be using the short one.
